Default Best place to buy the Whiteline front strut tower bar?

I found the bar at PDM Racing for $65. It is for the Impreza. Will it fit the Legacy?http://www.pdm-racing.com/products/subaru_corner.html

Don doesn't advertise all the parts he can get. E-mail him and ask him to get a legacy specific one for you. PDM is the best place for whiteline.

I contacted Don at PDM Racing looking for Whiteline suspension parts for my Legacy. Here is what he told me in his e-mail in regards to the Whiteline Strut bars:

"Not sure if the 2.5 RS bars fit or not...... They don't specifically make Legacy ones...but if the 2.5RS ones fit, then they work."

So I would also like to know if the Impreza Strut Bar will fit since they don't have a Legacy specific one. I think I will probably go with the Cusco Strut Bar, it's just that they are so DAMN expensive compared to the Whiteline prices.

Chris.

Yes the GC8 Whiteline front strut bar will fit on the 95-99 Legacy. The one I have on my 98 GT actually said WRX on the package. (Of course that was the GC8, as that was in early 2000 when I got it)

Now, call Teague's and order one!

www.boxer4racing.com

BTW: I don't know if anyone was aware or not, but the '02 WRX shares the same rear upper strut mounts as the (at least) 95-99 Legacy. I installed STi Group N upper mounts that were made for the 02 rex when I installed the AGX's a couple of months ago. We were hoping that the Whiteline WRX (02) rear strut bar would fit. It did, however I had to trim away a little metal from the holes going from the strut tops to the trunk. I wouldn't recomend this since there are other bars available that fit. (I'm just nuts) However, if you are having trouble finding a rear bar for your legacy, you may want to look at whats available for the wrx. The fit problems mainly had to do with the angle the arms needed to go through the holes. So other bars might not have these problems. If anyone needs a more technical explination of what didn't fit, just email me.

I have a 92 Legacy Wagon with an Impreza strut tower bar on it. I tried the one from Cusco and one from Ractive and they both fit perfectly. If they fit mine they'll fit yours as well even though your Legacy is newer. Thank goodness for Subaru interchangability.

Hope this helps.

Default Difference between the Cusco & Whiteline bar?

Does anybody know the differences between the Cusco and Whiteline front strut bar? I was just wondering why the Cusco bar is 2-3X the cost of the Whiteline!?

The one thing I noticed from pictures is that the whiteline bar is angled towards the throttle body, whereas the Cusco bar is angled towards the firewall.

Does anybody see any benefits of either design in terms of performance or clearance room for future modifications (intercooler)? Any recommendations from people who already have one of the above installed?

I doubt there is any difference in quality. I like Whiteline, they know alot about Subaru suspension. It also like the $65 price tag on the Whiteline too.

Here you can order front or rear facing

Whiteline Strut Tower Bars
Strut bracing maintains alignment angles and spring rates by greatly reducing body flex. Critical for serious performance.

Subaru WRX/2.5 RS Strut Tower Bar
Whiteline KSB550 . . . . . $65.00
Subaru WRX/2.5 RS Rear Facing Strut Tower Bar
Whiteline KSB551 . . . . . $65.00

hmmmm... so this means I can get a Whiteline front strut bar that angles towards the back OR the front?! When I first read that, I thought it was front and rear strut bars... geez, now I have another decision to make
