Default OAKOS says hi to our friends up north!!

We just wanted to pop into let you know that we are happy to ship any of our items to Canada. We have fair shipping rates & use UPS standard exclusivley (you always get a tracking number).

Check out our web site & let us know if you need anything.

UPS FTL.

Sorry to say I will never be purchasing from you in that case.

UPS are the worst money grubbing organization I have ever encountered. Fees upon fees upon fees. Then brokerage fees, then they send you a bill after the fact, and go to collections. Never again.

USPS FTW though.

I can understand that. We have 2 daily pickups from UPS & one from the US Post office. The problem is the post man will not pickup any international package & we have to take the international packages to the post office & fill out a bunch of forms for EACH package. UPS fills out all the forms automaticly & picks up the package with the regular pickup. It would take us many extra hours each day to fill out all the forms for the post office & then deliver them & wait at the counter for each one to be accepted.

Sorry we couldnt be of more help.

Thanks for all the feedback! Okay, this is obviously a problem.

I will figure out a way to process international USPS shipments more efficiently.

Same story here... I've turned down a few vendors that refused to ship USPS in the past. While it's nice for you that they fill out a form or two, they charge us obscene amounts because they did the paperwork.

I have to agree UPS FTL. USPS is the only way i ship my parts. Brokrage fee are reasonable. never had a problem and ships just as fast if not faster. Also glad to hear that you guys are shipping up here now. A few times i have been on your website wanting to order stuff, great prices

Okay guys. We figured out how to process USPS shipments without having to actually go into the Post Office and wait in line (Thanks SubieGal! ) so we can now offer USPS shipping services on most products instead of UPS.

aspect, sorry that we've flip-flopped on this. We used to ship to Canada years ago, then we didn't for a while and now we do again. Having the ability to process USPS shipments online is going to help us to provide the level of service to our customers north of the border that we try to provide to those here in the states. If you need anything else please give us a call and see what we can do for you!

Sincerely,

David Kearney

Good show David, more than a few times I was going to get something from OAKOS but you weren't shipping north of the border so... About 4 years ago I got a few things from you when you were shipping north and the service was great, now hopefully I can do so again the next time I need something. And oh yea, UPS and their extra charges can go and suck the big one.

have you guys ever tried to broker your own packages through UPS? I've been doing it for years now and NEVER paid a brokerage fee (after I found out how).

Depending on where you are, this could be useful:

-Get tracking number
-Call UPS (their 800 #) as soon as you have it.
-Talk to their rep and give them your tracking number. Let them know you will self broker.
- Your package makes it over the border, and is shipped directly to their warehouse
- You get a call from UPS telling you to go to their office. This is where you pick up some paperwork.
- Take that paperwork to customs (usually one is near the depot), pay your taxes (make sure you have a receipt or documentation of how much you paid for your parts)
- Go back to UPS and give them the paperwork.
- Pick up your stuff.

I've saved piles of money doing this. But all the locations are less than 5 mins from eachother (customs office, UPS depot). It saves me from driving to the border to get stuff.

Thanks for getting the USPS set up. I've ordered from OAKOS in the past and have been very happy (except for the UPS, but I knew it was coming that way).

I don't think that works in many places, just Winnipeg and (maybe) Vancouver.

Thanks for that info MixeD_MenacE!

fragment, we don't carry UR products (yet). We do have access to Perrin's rotated kits.

northernwrx, we have plenty of TBE's in stock. I think USPS has a size limit so I'm not sure if we can ship things as large as exhausts via USPS. Anyone know about that?

Thanks guys!

I had another vendor ship me a full TBE through USPS. The DP was in one box, the rest was in another.

'Cause sometimes resellers can give a better deal than the vendor.
And then I could buy a clutch, header and cat-back all with the same order.

lesson over.

I dont think K&N makes the Fuel Injection Performance Kit for the WRX. We stock a few differant air intake systems.

Please check out our K&N section of our web page and let us know if any of our stocked products are what you are looking for and we can get you a shipping quote.... http://www.oakos.com/Merchant2/merch...ch=engineering
