STPR '08 update - 2 day event with Super Special

STPR will now have two days of
competition on Friday and Saturday, June 6th & 7th featuring a super
special stage on both days at the Tioga County Fairgrounds located
between Wellsboro and Mansfield, Pennsylvania.

even with all the changes this year the event is likely not worth attending.

Are the 2 super special stages the only stages that spectators are allowed at? I hope not

did you go last year? terrible organization, canceled stages due to drunk fans..it was not run well last year. i'll probably give it one more shot this year and see if things got better

this is great news!

They needed to make a standing change in this event. The SSS will certainly get a better perspective on the rally.

Ya, after everything you went through last year trying to help them as a sweep. Drive all the way up there to discover 6+ sweep 'vehicals' consisting of FWD cars

I've attended this event over the past 3 years. Honestly after last year I concluded the rally really is not that great. The TSD and the drive to wellsboro was more fun the the actual rally.

Will I still attend....ya probably but again mostly for the TSD and seeing friends that I do not always get to see.

that about sums it up - several others agree with me that it is the worst run event in the series.

I have heard that many of the problem organizers were given the boot. i'm about 50/50 whether i'll go up and spectate this year or wait it out a year to see if it really changes. I'll probably skip it as it is expensive for me to attend these events and my limited budget for fun can be better directed elsewhere.

Last year was a huge letdown. I hope they have turned things around.
