Default AT/MT headers

Will headers for a AT fit a MT application? (TWE superstock 4-2-1) for a 07 2.5i the headers are for an '05 style setup.

I don't see why it would matter. The gearbox is minimal in when it matters for fitting on headers. You should check other things.

It matters, Headers not designed for AT will not clear the larger gearbox. I MT is smaller so it should be just fine. I am jealous of your TWE. lol

yeah, i figured that the MT was smaller so clearance wouldnt be an issue but i wanted to make sure in case there was some weird shape to the MT that caused it to sit lower or something... It already looks like i may have some crossmember clearance issues but im not too worried.. i have welding equipment and everything i need to notch/cut the crossmember and reinforce it otherwise. Goodbye warranty!

Hmm this only pertains to the TWE's right? Borla's for example, have the same part number/description for their headers and it doesn't specify if it's for AT or MT.

yeah, TWEs is what im asking about or if anyone knows for a fact that the MT gives more clearance that the AT under the car on the 06/07's.

I think the Borlas have quite a bit less tubing and dont snake around before the collector flange so maybe they fit both for that reason.

well i already have the headers and didnt know they were for AT application until i asked some questions on the phone with TWE. So im not looking for prices or who's cheapest if thats what you meant. Ill check out xcceleration.com. thanks.

Is the crossmember on the frame under the engine/transmission mating area the same for AT and MT on 06/07 2.5i's?

I believe the the crossmembers are the same, it's just that the AT hangs lower, which is why it's hard for us slushboxers to put on braces without spacers. But then they hit the ground. lol.

So I think they are the same, the only difference is the clearance issue of the AT size.
