Silverthorn... for now

Default Part Out: 1995 Legacy LSI 2.2

I'm going to be junking my ex-daily driver, which was in a minor accident. The car is red, but the body panels, doors, etc. are not in the best condition (rusty or have minor damage) but the engine still runs strong. Most of the suspension is intact. The tan leather interior is in pretty good shape, as is the dashboard, and all the options/accessories work fine too. The car has a sunroof, power everything, a/c, alloys (1 got trashed in the accident, but 2 or 3 of them are still fine and have new tires) etc... The transmission is the only part of the car I'm keeping, everything else is fair game until junkyard day. Let me know what you might want.

Slug, the antenna is messed up, I wouldn't even give it to you for free cause I'd feel bad. The Air Pressure Sensor is all yours, I'm gonna open up the service manual and see if I can find where it might be... I'm guessing it's MAP sensor, which would be on the intake. PM me with an offer, I have no clue what that might go for.

No prob about the antenna man, they must suck on these cars. The Air Pressure sensor isnt in the MAP as far as i know. I think its one of the 2 things thats tied to the right front Strut housing. Not sure which one though. Ill go down to Subaru tomorrow and see if they show me.

In the picutre of the motor you will see a round thingy that collects dust just behind the metal intake. The pressure sensor is out of picture, but just follow that hose from the intake it to it.

Is the exhaust in good shape? Any idea if it will fit on a 95 impreza with a 1.8? Looking for engine back. Let me know. Thanks!

I have a "Mica Ruby" (Red) '96 Legacy L. It is the same colour as yours.

The fake wood surround on the auto shifter, the leather steering wheel, and possibly the door cards would all look awesome on my "L".

I take it your front Bumper & hood are all scuffed up somewhat ?
What sort of trunk / spoiler do you have ?

What condition are your remaining 3 alluminium alloy 15" wheels in ? do you have the centre caps ? Oh and how badly dammaged is the 4th wheel ?

Thank you !!!

OK....
Insane Jester - I PM'd you, I think with a 1.8 you have single port headers, but the rest should work fine...

Jonathan - The fake wood surrounding the shifter, window switches, the wheel and door cards would all work great for your car. Make an offer...
The front bumper you DO NOT want, trust me... The hood isn't bad actually, I can try to get a photo of it tomorrow. The trunk has no spoiler, but is in decent shape as well.
The 3 remaining alloys are decent, they're still true (round) they have center caps, they have new (<10k miles) tires, and I can get some pictures of those too. The 4th one isn't horrible, but a chunk of the lip did break off.
AND - the driver fog light is ok, but passenger side was damaged in the accident. Yes, I still have the lug wrench.
Let me know what you make of all this!

Aha... Thanks! So no problems there then. I have the alternator and tweeters if you're still interested too. I'm going to wait on the alternator for a bit though, I wanna see if someone will take the entire motor, fully assembled with accessories.

Okay Nick -

... is your interior a sort of Charcoal (black) colour or is it more of a dark brown "chocolate' type colour ?
My hood is near perfect condition although the clear coat paint is pealing off in sections.
Your rims are the typical 15" 5 spoke alloys ? How much corrosion is on them ?
You mentioned you have nearly new tyres whilst not mentioning the brand ? A few more photos would be nice.

As for an offer:
Rough guess (depending on condition and how much of this stuff I really want) would be roughly something in the $125 to maybe $200 range... Maybe more if your rims and tyres are in exceptional condition and are a well known high-quality brand tyre. -- as it stands now I am largely neutral on your wheels. If this seems like a low-ball offer, I apologize, how-ever for the most part these are all things I would *like* to spruce up the appearance of my car.. not things that I *need*.

-- Also there may be a few things on your car that my lower base model Legacy simply doesn't have -- so given a 5 minute look-over I may want a few more things in addition to what I have asked for.

Thank you.

What do you want for the motor - I'd just need the longblock. Any oil consumption? What was the mileage?

Just curious if jester is gonna take your exhaust, I recently parked my legacy wagon in a park and ride lot for a night, must have been a lot of salt on the road that day. When i parked it it was quiet and humble, i came back and started it and now it sounds louder, but probably not meaner than my roomates 2.5TS with a borla header and Prodrive cat-back, or my WRX with a Manifold back catless 3" stainless, with borla hush. hey, atleast its got that scooby rumble now ::shrug::

If jester doesn't take the whole exhaust i will likely want some parts. Also interested in the struts... anyone know if legacy sedan and wagon struts are interchangable? I'm sure the rears are probably slightly different dampening wise, but seriously if they will bolt up its better than the 7 year old struts on there now.

I mean this cars been the distance to the moon already... heres hoping it makes it back.

To be honest I don't think I'll be taking the exhaust. Too many questions at to whether it will bolt on or not and i'm pretty much broke right now. Thanks anyway though!

Jonathan, clear your PM box, it's full...

Americanyouth - The motor is still available, and does not consume oil despite the high mileage. It could use a new timing belt, and I know last time I had it off one of the pullies was starting to go. Besides that, it's an average suby motor. A bit noisiy and sluggish when you first start it, but then it runs great warmed up. PM me an offer and it's yours, I gotta get rid of it.

ProdriveDreams - We determined that the exhaust was not a bolt-on for an impreza, so it's still available. You could have the whole thing, manifold back if interested. The struts are also available, and they are in great shape. Car had a nice, smooth ride right up until the accident. They weren't damaged either, as far as I can tell. Make an offer and that stuff is yours.
