Actually have freshly painted bumper and arches sitting in the garage.
Just can't decide if I want to drill, or trust the 3M tape?

trust the tape, clean the surfaces with alcohol and ur golden... if you are truly worried you can throw some 3M adhesion promoter on before you tape but it's really not needed the stuff is STRONG.

We can vouch for the 3M tape as well. It is still holding our limited spoiler on!! It has been over 2 years now.

^^^I bought a roll of the 3M that Advanced Auto Parts sells. It's just trim/moulding tape (grey double sided foam tape with red backing).

Is this the correct stuff? I know there are 17463957 different kinds of 3M tape out there.

Sounds like the right one. I think I still have the packaging around here somewhere. If I find it I will post the PN.

I haven't put them on yet. I'm just waiting to make some time to get the bumper installed. Possibly this weekend. I'll let you know.

id worry about using 3m tape if you have pulled fenders at all. if you havent modded your fenders this should be fine.

yeah they are very flexible, but i just wanted to note if you have an aggressive pull or just want to play it safe, use some kind of bonding adhesive (which is what im doing lol). you should be ok if its not too extreme. hell you might even be ok with a bigger pull, but i think it would be best to do otherwise.

wrblue - that comment wasnt towards you, just a general comment.
