Problem reading ECU with ECUFLASH

2007 Impreza 2.5i

I cannot get passed picking which car to read. All it says is "error check log"

It doesnt get passed the init sequence.

using v1.34

Do i need the test connectors for a 2.5i???

You need to connect the green test mode connectors under the dash. You need to wait until prompted to turn your ignition to on (to on, engine OFF) and then when you do so, immediatlely hit the OK button. You need to be using a tactrix cable. If all this does not help you then read here:

I thought you only needed the jumpers for WRX!!??

Read the FAQ I posted! You need to connect the test mode connectors (ALL Subarus do regardless). The jumper is a whole separate deal that has nothing to do with the test mode connectors and is only applicable to the 16-bit ECU (ex. 02-05 USDM WRX). So, no, you don't need the jumper but ALL models have to be in test mode to read/flash with Ecuflash.
