Costco has Zymol wax. it comes with 2 bottles $13.79 and they have car wash soap too. $6.49. i think those are a good price compared to buying them from schucks or some other place

Unfortunately my car wash is broken. Sorry guys.

As for how I kept the Subaru clean, I used the Laser Wash off Spenard all winter long. During winter I will not touch the car with anything, because NO car washes here will get the gunk off the car from the roads. Be careful washing or drying your cars by hand in winter, or you will get swirl marks.

I do touchless all winter long, then in spring, when I can start washing by hand again, I do an exhaustive cleaning.

Start by one gentle hand wash.
Then clean the entire car with WD40, it is the wonder cleaner! It takes a lot of time, but it gets all the gunk off.
Then was the car by hand again.
One more hand wash, with fresh water and a fresh sponge.
Then wax and polish the car using a good multi-step polish and wax.

It will take all day, but damn will it look good. Now everyone knows my secret to a beautiful Suby in Alaska.

Later...Kris

That is a good price on the Zymol stuff. I'll have to pick that up. There is a nice wash stall at the Auto Hobby Shop on Elmendorf. Winslow
