Ice Race this Sunday

Who wants to Go? If so, we should meet up at IHOP on the corner of Grand & I-94 in Gurnee for breakfast around 7:00, it should take 90 min to get to the lake so we should arrive around 9:15 or so.

I know so far we have Nigel, Kevin, Myself, Mark (will he run the Nitro Neon?), KC (How about it)?, gknight81 (heres your chance) and any one else that wants to come along for the fun of it.

Sounds good to me, if the ice conditions allow. The site hasn't been updated in a while. I'm not sure if that's a good sign, or a bad one.

If it's on, I'm probably going. The little yellow car will be going non-stop, with up to 3 drivers. Breaking in the new Koni shocks.

I've been spoiled by that night ice event, though, leaving the house at 1PM was a nice change. Now it's back to the "butt crack of dawn" wake-up call.

i'm still a maybe for sunday, the Nitro Neon (with 1 wheel drive) may not be able to handle the snow on the ice, plus i imagine, with more snow out there, the potholes will become deeper, I need to be able to drive the nitro neon home too!

still thinking about it, depends i guess on how my weekend is going, ill post or call Karl or something...

Just got mine out of the shop and I'm willing to freeze this weekend if the ice is thick enough. Everything is melting here today though, so I'm starting to wonder...

To Get to the IHOP, exit 94W at East Grand in Gurnee. It's on the South East corner of 94 and Grand near the Outback Steak House. See you all there...

The ice base should still be solid despite today's spring-like temperatures. However, rain this evening could damage the top layer of ice. Dave will be checking ice conditions this afternoon and we'll post and update before 6:00pm if possible. However, if rain falls in the evening we may not be able to make a final go/no-go decision until very late.

If possible, please check back later today and first thing in the morning before heading for Hustisford.
