Default alignment issues (?) after impact

I had an "issue" with my car hitting a curb and got it fixed including 4 wheel alignment at the dealer. Well I have my car back and I have new tires and rims on so it is hard for me to tell if it is the new tires or the alignment. The tires that I have are S-03s and the tread is pretty tall on them. I know that you can expect a bit of wobble on new tires so that is where my question lies. I get a pull to one side or the other as I brake, but only at the last second. Other times while on the highway, it sometimes goes just slightly to the right, but only sometimes. Are these new tire issues or alignment issues? I want to know before I get on the dealer's case.

I'd say it's the tires. When I have my summer tires on (RE730s) I get that pull to the right most of the time and follow ruts when braking, but with the snow tires on it tracks perfectly straight. I think it's because the summer tires are so much stiffer, but I could be wrong.

Take it back to the dealer, have them check it again, and ask them for a printout of the alignment settings. If they did it right, they should have given that to you in the first place. Sometimes, something comes loose, or someone screws up, so it might need to be fixed.

You should also beware if you got a custom alignment, as if you got any toe out, it can make the car wander on the highway.

BlackBeastie,

I have a similar incident happened to my car, but the
rim was not damage as bad. I have not take it to the dealer
yet. Did your dealer find any major problem on your car?
Like control arm, etc? Was alignment the only problem?

Thanks.

I don't have all of the specs for what was replaced here in front of me, but there were several suspension parts, including the control arm and the crossmember. almost $3k
