I actually thought this was a brilliant addition and am hoping to see it on all roofrack-equipped models including, you guessed it, the Tribeca!

Now that the 2010 Tribeca is no longer a 'future product' can you please tell us what is meant by the 'increased interior flexibility' sited in the press release?

SOA_Blog: Why was the rear limited slip differential removed from the WRX line for 2010? Or is this just an error on the web page?

It was removed in 2008. It is a cost saving measure. The 2008+ uses VDC to help reduce wheel spin.

It sucks, but really, what *new* AWD cars come w/ R-LSD? STI, Evo, Ralliart...and?

website says it was standard on 2009 models, just weird that midcycle they would decont the car. If the ralliart has it, the WRX should absolutely have it as they are direct competitors.

The website does not say that at all. Please show me where it says the 2009 WRX has a rear differential?

It was removed on the 2008 WRX which was a completely new design, not a midcycle refresh.

The Ralliart uses the old Evo 9 AWD system.

it's in the compare models section. You have to select 2010 WRX and 2009 WRX. let me see if I can get a link to work.http://www.subaru.com/tools/compare-vehicles.html

I see it. The comparison is 100% wrong. The 2008, 2009, 2010 WRX do *NOT* have a Rear Limited Slip Differential.

Okay, that's what I initally thought before I saw the comparison. What a shame.

Yea it sucks, but you won't notice it's absence. Just remember to turn off VDC for light to light driving or in deep deep snow (it slows engine speed and brakes the wheels which just get you stuck).

SOA Blog heard a commercial last night that said all or 100% of Subaru cars a built in zero landfill plants. I am paraphrasing but it was along those lines. Are all Subaru plants zero landfill? How many plants are there in Japan?

Peace,

Greg

SIA in Lafayette is zero landfill, and I think they copied the process from one of the Japanese plants.

So there is still just the Gunma plant and it is zero landfill. Interesting.

Peace,

Greg

Does anyone else here have trouble navigating Subaru's website? Those popdown menus along the top of the screen always drop down in the way of me clicking on things. I cannot select a different color when building my own car and I can't even write a message on the muddy outback with the background I want. I don't know why it takes 3 months to fix a problem with the website like this.

Try going here and try to pick a different color and you will see what I mean:
http://www.subaru.com/vehicles/outba...ium/build.html

Let me know if it works for you guys or if it is just my browser.

Works fine in Opera 10 on Windows 7 and XP. Drop-down menus disappear after a few seconds. Try selecting a different drop-down menu over towards the right, then click where you need to.

Quick question:

Are there any updated financing specials?

It looks like the old ones expired on January 4th, but are still on the website. Are they still available?

Thanks
