Any changes to the base Impreza/Outback Sport for '11. Or if the WRX will have an auto option for '11. (The wife won't agree to a non auto. )

With all the news for the WRX, wondering if anything was happening for the base models too.

I'd kill for a 2.0l diesel Outback with a CVT and an STI without glass pistons. Use forged, I'll take my chances with scuffing the cylinder walls.

…SOA Blog,

…any word on the exterior colors for the '11 LGT? Specifically will the darker interior be offered on all exterior GT colors (namely white and black which had taupe interiors for '10)?

'11 GT Limited (the only LGT model now) has one interior scheme: off-black leather with silver stitching. Exterior colors are Azurite Blue Pearl, Crystal Black Silica, Graphite Gray Metallic, Ruby Red Pearl, Steel Silver Metallic, and Satin White Pearl (no Caramel Bronze or Sky Blue).

SOA could have people jumping on the bandwagon of the Outback with a wagon as I bet some might be on the fence, if not turned away by the cladding and high roof rail assembly.

Why do you think Honda and Acura have a "crossover sedan" with the Crosstour? It's a "wagon" with no cladding/roof rails. True, it might be shorter than a wagon but it don't look offroadish but more civilized.

Some people might like the Outback but would rather have the more civilized brother and a good marketing firm would exploit the Outback and make a good commercial with both hence less advertising cost for the LegGT wagon

Or just give us the LegGT drive-train on an outback (reviving the XT) and call it a day if bringing a GT is to costly. We can always drop the XT like the previous generation "delete" the Pontiac Vibe roof rails.

I would buy a Legacy Wagon with the normally aspirated H6 and a 6MT. Unfortunately, Subaru has never paired the H6 with a manual transmission anytime in recent years.

Not in North America, but Europe got that combination. If I move to Germany, my shortlist includes a Legacy wagon H6 MT Spec B

Just ordered a 2011 Impreza 2.5i premium for the wife for invoice plus $ pricing (actual pricing was not known as of last week). Two new colors (Sky Blue metallic and Marine blue pearl). Nav package wasn't selectable on the 2.5i premium when we placed the order. Will likely go with an aftermarket system.

The last generation wagon came in 3.0R with 6mt in Europe. Americans just don't buy enough manual transmissions. Just ask Ferrari.

Does the '11 have the CVT?

I doubt it. The dealer didn't have much information. Just what was on the screens in the ordering system. I did find this link which claims that there are no changes to the transmissions: http://www.cars101.com/subaru/impreza/impreza2011.html

Is SOA Blog allowed to say whether the STI SE trim level will be available in 2011?

Soa... Is there any way possible to get the BASE fabric seats in a limited version? I want the HIDs and moonroof, but don't like the leather seats at all.

They took away a trim level from the turbo legacies this year, that should be an indication on whether or not we'll ever see a SpecB in this country again.

Default Impreza, heated seats but no moonroof.

SOA, Aside from the Outback Sport. Is it possible to get a 2010 or 2011 Impreza without a moon roof but with heated seats?

For example can the heated seats be installed by a dealer on a base WRX?

Yes. You have to swap the seats yourself.
