By finding someone with the base seats? Or they'll do it at the dealership? Not many WRX's around here...

If not available from Subaru, aftermarket seat heaters run about $300 installed and do a nice job toasting the buns. Your dealer probably has a connection with a vendor who can do this. If not, find an aftermarket leather company near you.

Yeah, I actually think they're even cheaper. Here's a good reference: http://www.wrxtuners.com/forums/f93/...heaters-16234/ I called up the place this guy got them from a couple months ago. The lady I talked to seemed pretty cool.

SOA - Any word on the color options for the new WRX and STI?

Any STI only colors? or do the 2 cars keep sharing everything including color options?

SOA - why no Harman Kardon stereo option in the WRX or at least some sort of optional better stereo upgrade?

Why is SOA forcing buyers who want the 5-door style STI to get the BBS wheels?

Hey, trade with the guys that didn't get them and pocket the money. WIN!

Also, it used to be 2,000. to get BBS and now it's only 1,300 or something less so they are on sale!

SOA Blog. I have been holding off on this question for a few years now. But I have to ask. Very neutral, shouldn't cause any flaming.

Why is it that you pull the mechanical lever towards you to lock the door, but 4 inches away you push the electric switch away from you to lock the door?

To this day I can't get this down. I always unlock to lock.

By the way, big fan love your work. Having fun, miss you, wish you were here.......

Peace,

Greg

This is actually a real good question. I've wondered this myself.

On the locking mechanism - this may be a negative, but in my 02 legacy, it made unlocking the car with a hanger through the window MUCH easier when I locked my keys in the car in a small town with no locksmith. Wasn't encouraging for the deterrence factor!

SOA Blog,

SOA said that the 2011 STI was the fastest ever in the US. However, this review by C&D says it is the slowest. Please respond.

http://www.caranddriver.com/reviews/car/10q3/2011_subaru_impreza_wrx_sti_limited_sedan-short_take_road_test"]http://www.caranddriver.com/reviews/car/10q3/2011_subaru_impreza_wrx_sti_limited_sedan-short_take_road_test

This review by C&D says the 2011 WRX (non sti) is slower. Plus we have dyno results showing about 20whp less than in 2010. Please explain.

http://www.caranddriver.com/reviews/...take_road_test

2011 WRX - 0-60 in 5 sec and 1/4mi in 13.7

2011 STI - 0-60 in 5.3 sec and 1/4mi in 13.9

2010 WRX did 0-60 in 4.7 and 1/4mi in 12.9-13.5.

2010 STI did 0-60 in 4.8 and 1/4 mi in 13.4.

So for 2011 we pay the same price for slower cars than in 2010!?!

How is this progress?

Hopefully it is because they are too busy prepping a 2012 Forester XT with a 5 or 6 speed automatic and 260+ hp.

SOA Blog is still here, just not posting in this thread. There was a two-and-a-half-month stretch through Sept. & Oct. with no NASIOC posts, but activity has picked up again in November.

Default Impreza concept?

Will this new Impreza concept be shown at any other car shows?

Yes, Detroit and Philly. Glad you like it. Size-wise it's similar to current Impreza, a bit lower.

Since you're here... can you explain what happens when a car gets ordered? There is a thread in "General" wondering about the long wait times for 2011 WRX/STI, and how does a person get a better idea of delivery times after ordering.

Edit: Or you could respond to my question from June.
