Will the navigation system in the 2012 Impreza also feature XM NavWeather?

Dear Mr. Blog,
When can we expect news on the 2012 Outback lineup? My family is on the hunt for a replacement to our '05 LGT wagon 5mt. If my feedback matters for anything, I am desperately wanting a manual tranny option with more power. I don't really care what trim or motor configuration; be it 2.5t from the LGT, 3.6 motor, or a fancy new turbo diesel. I would place my '12 order the day one of those options appears. With the NA 2.5l and 6sp, I am on the fence. I have no interest in the CVT and near zero interest in the 5sp auto. Thanks much! Rob |

Same here, I run a 06 STI and a Jeta TDI. Outback + Diesel + 5,6 sp manual = BIG + will buy one No oil burner, no Buy.
I sure hope SOA gets this. there are 20,000 VW owners that would up-grade to all wheel drive if they can get a Diesel, just hang out on a VW forum for a while |

SOA Blog, can you give us a ballpark idea of when the media will be allowed to release their driving impressions of the new Impreza?

Fortunately, it's not SOA that builds them... they just contract with SIA and Gunma.

Well, you're probably right, the business dealings go through FHI, but my point was that SOA and SIA are separate business entities, so we don't have to worry about any perceived lack of quality in SOA's spelling/grammar/press release errors leading to a lack of actual product quality in SIA.

yea this is super annoying, I want to know if I should be considering it or not. I REALLY like the design of the FR-S. If subaru has a turbo version I think I'd be forced to buy it even if it isn AWD.
I'll just make it AWD myself haha.Ben |

Why do people think that Subaru will have a turbo version? Hasn't it been established that both models will be identical?

^That is accurate, HB_Dad. ("Which year?" was my reply... a friendly poke at SOA Blog's typical vagueness and the model's seemingly slow release.)
