BRZ Limited has them, but Premium does not. I love them so much! Another plus to the Legacy GT for 2011 when I was comparing to the WRX/STI was that the Legacy had puddle lights. They really should be standard at this point.

I believe they had 6 STIs provided by SOA for Fast Five.

Would that indicate that 5 BRZ's are as dependable as 6 STi's <chuckle>?

What's the max cargo capacity for the Crosstrek? (Not towing, just people + cargo + roof)

Google has completely failed me in finding this, nor is it listed on Subaru.com, NOR in the owners manuals. It says to look on the door jamb. Could you be so inclined?

Thanks.

How'd Cherry Hill fare through Sandy?

Any storm-related issues for SOA at HQ or elsewhere?

Hey, SOA Blog. I was just reading your recent 2014 Forester press release at http://media.subaru.com/pressrelease...-crossover-suv and I noticed the following statements:
Quote:
The fourth generation of Subaru’s popular Forester will offer a new 2.0-liter direct-injection turbocharged BOXER® engine producing 250 horsepower.

...

“Subaru”, “BOXER”, “Forester”, all model names, and the Subaru logo are registered trademarks of the Subaru subsidiary of Fuji Heavy Industries, Ltd, Japan.
I thought it strange that Subaru would be able to register the generic word BOXER as a trademark for use with cars in the US and, sure enough, Subaru doesn't own such a trademark. But it turns out that FHI has successfully registered the phrase "SUBARU BOXER" as a trademark in the US, but the registration certificate for that mark included the statement: "No claim is made to the exclusive right to use "BOXER", apart from the mark as shown." (see http://tsdr.uspto.gov/documentviewer...20040113053421)

So it seems to me that if you guys want to correctly use that ® doohickey after the word "boxer" then that "boxer" ought to be immediately preceded by the word "Subaru".

If you'd like to avoid blunders like this in the future, just email me a copy of the documents you wish to publish BEFORE they're published and I'll gladly proofread them for you.

With that logic, "Subaru DIT" had a nice ring to it. Or how about Boxer DIT with that little ® doohickey.

They were denied the DIT trademark. It is a generic description that can be applied to any car company.

Yes I remember reading that, but in the case of BOXER, Subaru was able to trademark "SUBARU BOXER". I don't know legalese, but can't Subaru go back and trademark "SUBARU DIT" instead of just "DIT" if they wanted to?

FHI's trademark registration for SUBARU BOXER® contains an explicit disclaimer for the word BOXER (all-caps). See https://tsdrsec.uspto.gov/ts/cd/case...1/download.pdf. BTW, you guys got it right on the page at http://www.subaru.com/auto-show/la-2012.html. You should check with your Intellectual Property experts about whether you can claim that BOXER (all-caps but not prefaced with SUBARU) is a registered US trademark owned by FHI or its subsidiaries.

Crosstrek diesel. Whaddaya think? I know, "we don't talk about future models..." I just want some torque and better mpg. Oh and how about some adjustable side bolsters on the drivers seat. Not everybody is 5'10" and 180 pounds with big bruiser shoulders.
