I'd like to see a really dark purple offered. I'm not saying make it flambouyant but instead make it deep and mysterious. Think of that purple color used on the pre-Tribeca WX-01 Concept car (pictured below) years ago but mixed 50-60% with black. The car would look almost black but would have some nice purple highlights.

I have long since given up hope of seeing a 2 door wrx again but I was curious if things like wether to produce a two door or even a three door were considered when the designs for the 08, and beyond were being talked over.

SOA Blog,

You missed my question a few pages back, I think the 09 wrx info over shadowed it.

I asked if you have the number of 07 Forester XT sports sold / made by color?

Thank you

Hey - sorry, we can do the odd piece of research here and there but we're not really a resource in that way. Sorry.

Will Subaru bring Guaranteed-Trade-In program back in any time soon (within a month)?? I'm debating between 08 sti and non-suby models. If I can get more favorable trade-in on my 04 wrx, I'll lean more toward STI.

Oh, good. Since you're listening: Any word on that Legacy STI yet?

I know, you can't answer that. Just know that there are many of us that would love to see one.

I would love a Legacy STI as well. However, the price point has to be right. Less than $45k will be good. Anything more than that, and it will be tough to justify for me.

SOA Blog, it appears that some company with a London address is cybersquatting on the WRX.com domain name. I imagine that domain name would be useful to SOA marketing and I don't understand why SOA allows this cybersquatting to continue.

Default 2.5 & 3.0 LL Bean Outback MIA on SOA website

Okay, I guess this is merely a band-aid repair to the 2008 web pages in that there are no longer an LL Bean model listed, either 2.5 or 3.0 LL Beans; thus requiring the removal of those models from the site. BTW, when are the '09 Legacy and Outback pages going live on the SOA web site?

Speaking of LL Bean: What happened?

I know SOA has forth a positive spin as to the dissolution of the relationship. I don't buy it. Not for a minute. The split came much too fast, with only 2 or 3 months notice at most. That just doesn't happen in business—unless there were some really hard feelings, and/or some really nasty stuff going on. I take it that either Subaru fired LL Bean or that LL Bean fired Subaru. So which is it?

Why do I say that? Well, besides the fact that this split occurred "almost overnight," there is a 2009 LL Bean Forester listed in the new Forester brochure. If this split had been planned long in advance—by both parties—there would have never have been a LL Bean in the '09 brochure. These brochures were already printed and at car dealers when the decision to break off the relationship occurred. Again, that kind of incredibly poor planning would never have happened if this split were planned for in an orderly way.

^^ Well, from my perspective, it hasn't been as good as it had been, form a consumer's point of view. I had tried to order some of the Subaru specific apparel in May, and they were *really* short on items. They had cut some of the main colors I wanted (WRB shirts), and we had ordered quite a few Subaru things from L.L. Bean.

If anything, I am disappointed as I really liked the quality of the apparel (my WRX polo from 2004 finally gave up teh ghost, and I am HARD on clothes). Unless it is HIGH thread count and a quality company, I doubt I will be buying anymore "official" Subaru apparel from the US anymore.
