So the only differences are that it has the 3.6, 17" wheels, and a 5eat. Should be priced pretty low then.

In the "base" level I would expect that to be true. Remember, there are three trim levels of the 2.5i and 3.6R: Base, Premium and Limited.

So that means 17" rims are NOT available for the 2.5i, but that this was just done for the visual effect, correct?

Why on some models do you have a pocket on the back of the passenger side but not the driver's side?

SOA Blog, can you shed any light on why the decision was made to debut the Legacy 2.5i first rather than the GT? It seems like the GT would be the more interesting car and would give a better first impression than a base model - none of the press photos showcase the leather seats, navigation system, etc.

My guess...if you know there is a 99% chance that embargos will be broken and information/pics leaked, wouldn't it make sense to give the press the base model? That way the NYIAS unveiling leaves something special..GT.

We didn't... we gave out all the information at the same time. If you mean why we didn't put out a GT shot... well, there's two reasons. 1) the base car is BY FAR the bigger seller and 2) that was the car that was available for photoshooting. I know it seems strange, but the timing is very tight on these things.

ps - those photos aren't taken by press, they are taken by us. Press hasn't driven the car yet.
