good to hear... sometimes it's such a simple thing that drives us nuts. My power socket stopped working last week, the connector had worked loose. 2 mins.

What ever number it was it's much higher then the number of WRB FXT's they brought over. We've only seen one other one in over 40,000 miles and that was a service vehicle for the USA rally team at STPR.

Funny thing I saw one of those yesterday. On the side road as I was pulling out of work. I did not know it was a Subaru at first I had to do a double take on it.

Agreed SAO Blog thanks for doing this.

SOA Blog, has the color chart been listed for the US Legacy / Outback yet?

I'm really liking that Azurite Blue (as is the boss)

I hope the silver looks as good as it does in pics. SO far, it looks very close to the near-chrome finish of the concept car which is gorgeous!! If that is truly the color, it needs to be on the hole lineup including the next Tribeca.

there is a guy here in MN selling one.

http://mnsubaru.com/forums/showthread.php?t=32127

the car i would love to have is the WRB Baja turbo with the 17 inch gold tarmac rally wheels and tires done up in the SRTUSA livery that they had following the team around for a while.

I'm not normally a fan of silver on cars, but if it does come out looking anything like that concept I'd be seriously considering it.

If this isn't touched up to all hell, I think the concept car color being a reality may be true!

No way - the new silvers are a big improvement over the old silvers - they're so much more silvery, accentuating the greyness that highlights the monochromaticity of the brand!

Thanks for the appreciation. The concept paint was a special, so won't make it to production and the paint colors will be loaded to subaru.com as soon as we can post them here.

did they do any focus study groups using regular comsumers when deciding on the interior finishes?

if they did, don't ever ask that group to come back.

if they didn't, you should.

not to be an "Unclemat" , by the reactions to the interior by other members it seems your focus group was a Ford Focus group.

next time you should invite, or did they, forum members??

didn't any of them see the hard plastic and all the buttons and make comments?

If anyone from SOA is interested, I'd be happy to take some time with both my 2008 and a 2010 and sit down and go through them and point out exactly what I do and don't like about each.

We probably can't afford to build cars to individual specifications.

when we invite forum members, they spill it all over the web... . Ain't that right HB_Dad?

And no, the reaction was pretty positive from the group, comprising current owners and prospects.

Would never expect it to be so, but feedback is never a bad thing I would think. It's more so in respect to the fact that SOA seems so surprised as the negative feedback on the new interior (and exterior, though they seem less surprised there). Perhaps that sort of thing would lead you to better know what to expect the responses to be.

What do you mean surprised... where is that coming from?

And let me say again, the negative feedback is mostly limited to a few of you guys on here. We respect your enthusiast opinion, but we have to balance that against selling 10s of thousands of cars.

Feedback from the show was pretty positive.

I guess the vocal minority here is just making me think that way. The surprised is actually coming from what I've seen under the SOA Blog name, you guys seem very surprised at the negative responses here.

Could you guys maybe provide some input on the positive side for us? I'm sure you try to avoid doing the "marketing spew", but I'd really like to hear what people do like about the new interior, aside from the size. I keep hearing size size size, but I'm more interested in a comparison of the actual quality between the old interior and the new. I want to see some of that positive feedback.

surprised... no, not really... we said before the launch that some of you will complain. I'm a sports fan and complain about my team's management all the time. It's part of the "being a fan" thing.

I guess we are sometimes taken aback at how much the deletion of 4 way heated seats to 2 way can send some people over the top.

Most people don't look at cars in quite the detail you guys do. They look to see if the cars suits their needs (size, awd) won't let them down (reliability), is good value (price) and is a nice place to be (interior) and so on.

The interior of the car is really very comparable with other makes. And the extra size is really helping raise interest.
