I meant safety as in other drivers can see you better as the bright blue light easily grabs attention.

It adds also adds curb appeal too by the way as I've had countless inquiries about my Tribeca that were sparked by the puddle light glow.

The highest trim levels have auto-up driver's windows (though I'm still unclear on whether that is 3.6R-only or if it's available on the premium package for all the models, some of the text I've seen has been contradictory).

There is now a reverse camera, iPod input, and bluetooth speakerphone option available with the navigation system.
Can we get real confirmation on the auto-up windows? I would be willing to accept that feature as a positive trade for one of the minor deletes.

Really though, has SOA released an actual definitive list of improvements on the Legacy? I know they've released the "bigger better faster", but I want details so I can really compare what I care about versus what I don't.

I like the mirror turn signals, but I would trade those for auto up/down driver & passenger windows.

Auto-up windows are on Premium and Limited models, but not base models.

Mother!@#$%! it's driver's window only. SUBARU I LIKE SYMMETRY! Make my front window controls work the same. Symmetrical All Wheel Drive + Symmetrical Window Controls are a match made in heaven.

Take away 2 mirrors, but add 1 window... maybe SOA Blog can work out a compromise where we can get a passenger-side turn signal mirror on every vehicle that has auto-up driver's window. At least the give & take would balance out numerically.

Considering that as of MY2010 they'll be gone from every Subaru car, and that Subaru is in the process of decontenting and "mainstreaming", probably not.

you don't want them.

frameless:
it's easier to break into the car
its harder to manufacturer (align)
and sometimes they go off track.
they allow air in when the seals get older

i don't miss them.

SOA Blog,

Any idea if the Legacy will get a spoiler option or an Aero Kit (skirts, rear spats, diffuser, front lip) like the WRX is offered and the Camry SEL?

That would add complexity. Have to keep it simple, these days. Leave the options to the rest of the world.

Fogs are an option. Standard on the Outback though.

I wish we could have the JDM legacy here. I like the front bumper/grill on it more....On top of that, the headlights are blacked out instead of all that chrome!

Can we just have this car instead?

Almost nothing will fit with different fenders and quarter panels... (supposedly hood is also different).

SOA Blog,

Any chance you might have anything sitting around there that could help this gentleman out? (like a spare window perhaps?)

http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/show....php?t=1351744

Seriously, that is an enthusiast.

Yeah. Maybe he could have a free walkthrough of the "old Subaru parts warehouse"!

SOA Blog:

Could you explain, at a high level, what the localization process for Subaru cars looks like? Is it top-down from FHI or SOJ? What happens first, second, third, etc in the process? Who is driving the process? Is it dominated by the compliance folks (safety and EPA related concerns, etc), the marketing folks (determining what models get which creature comforts, playing badge switcharoo games, etc), or is it the engineers (let's make the 2009 WRX stronger, 6 speed to the LGT, etc)?

Or, is there a link out there you can point me to that explains all this? Thanks in advance.
