Default 06/07 STi HID's on 06/07 WRX

Picked up a set of the STi HID headlamp assemblies, in fairly decent shape. Has anyone done this mod? The plugs look to be the same, just wondering if I'm going into uncharted territory. Trying to also figure out if I HAVE to use the leveler switch?

worst comes to worst i can sell u my hid's!!! but i don't think it would be anything drastically different... i do know that on the TR's at least, the day time lights don't run at as many volts as the regular lights... since i put HID's on my car i have to keep my lights on all the time, or atleast until the HID's warm up completely...

i think the 07 is different, but on my 06 it was plug and play. just took my old ones out then put in the STI ones. you don't have to use the leveler. (i chose to wire the leveler up as its a nice touch, also changed the projectors out with TSX ones )

Other than it being hell to get the first one out, it went fine. I wanna work on aiminng them some, but may need the leveler to do that correctly.

there is a white plastic screw/nut on the backside of the headlights that you can rotate to level the headlights.

You bumped a thread over 4 years old about an HID assembly swap to ask what your TR low beam size is?

It also says on the outside of the headlight assembly, and if you Google "your car here bulb chart" this site modified life usually pops up and lists all the bulbs.

They actually might, I have seen it happen before, but asking about putting HIDs in regular housings will get you flamed to death here, so good luck haha.

Don't you dare start getting snippy. It's not our fault that you'd rather be spoon fed the answer, rather than research it yourself.

That's just lazy.

Besides, HIDs in fogs defeats the purpose of them.

So, one jackass installs a set of faulty hid's... And probably put them in wrong.

I've had them in my car for over 9 months. And they are on any time my headlights are on. I've NEVER had any problems.

Here is what I did -
http://www.scoobymods.com/showthread...9.html?t=12649
I used the LightWerks harness to be safe. You don't have to have the levelers wired. I don't as I couldn't figure out the wiring.
