Default 2nd cracked rota wheel

On saturday night I noticed I was losing air in my front left tire. I figured i just had a nail stuck in my tire or a small leak of some sort. After going to the tire shop to have the leak patched up, I found out that my wheel was cracked, for the second time.

The first time (both 17" rota tarmac IIs) I hit a huge pothole and knew it was shot from the second i hit it. But this time I cannot figure out how this happened. It was only losing air (out of a small crack) at about 8-10 psi a day so the crack had to occur within a few days of me noticing it. But I barely drove at all that week, being in college I took two routine trips to the gym and that was it for the whole week.

Are Rotas prone to cracking?

what PSI are you running and what tires?

Rotas seem to crack as much as any other rim or wheel...i.e. only when some serious stress has been put on them.

Oh, what rotas are you running? I think there was a "bad" batch of Rota Attacks (basically made to handle weights that aren't as high as later Rotas) that were shipped out waaay back in 2005 or something. Maybe you got one of those...
