Default Catbacks that fit an 04 2.5RS directly without modification

I've been looking up some catbacks that would bolt on to the 04 2.5RS without any modifications as in rotating of flanges or hangers.

All I can find are ones made to fit 98-01 2.5RS or 02+ or 04-05 WRX/STi. I haven't really found ones that actually say 04 2.5RS. Not sure what is a direct bolt on from other catbacks for other cars.

Opinions and feedback please. Thanks

Get the STi catback. Requires MINOR modification, but with fabulous results, and still "stock" quiet.

I already knew about that site but I guess that's all you can do is post links w/o having any useful info. The thing is your 2000 bolted up to a 2000 which is like duh...

I like my rallitek catback. It fits 93-05 and sounds great. Their customer service sucks ass and they cant package products if their lives depended on it but man that catback sounds great.

I think they based that off Cobb's catback lol. Yeah, I'm done with RalliTEK though.

why waste time with that when apexi makes a N1 model that would have just bolted on and been more of a correct pipe size at 2.25" ?

all 98-05 RS catbacks will all work on each other. on some cars one exhaust hanger does not line up but isn't needed and won't hit anything. 3 out of 4 is fine. Many people including myself will recommend stromung. read and listen to the "which exhaust should i get" stickies here and at rs25.com and see what you like.

I am a little confused by your car info if you have a 07 or the 05? if you have a 07 your screwed eitherway since both wrx and rs catback version of the N1 would be short, if the 05 than you can buy the catback meant for the 98-01 and it will work

although i always suggest against that apexi junk since its mild steel and will rust through in no time, i saw my friends just fall off one day and id never touch one specially in the north east climate

I can also vouch for Apex'i mild steel exhausts having rusted out. Happened on a friend of mine after a couple of years or less. The midpipe was completely eaten through.

i am only helping people out. if u "already know" something that's fine. then don't post saying u know it. i picked stromung b/c it looked less obvious than other exhausts and wasn't as loud as others. i have had it since last june and have no probs with any signs of rust or anything. it is a little pricey but is a good product.
