If I wasn't feeling so nice today, I'd just tell you to search eBay, but I'll help you out. It literally took me 10 seconds to find these:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/SUBAR...spagenameZWDVW

And yes, as long as you get the headers, cat, and catback from a pre-06, everything will bolt right up.

i want to say that the 2.5 headers from borla will work but the better question do you want the boxer rumble or performance i belive the headers fit and the high flow cat no prob the issue you will have it the o2 sensors you need to get a sensor extender cause the cable is not long enough great place to get stuff is boxer 4 racing look at the exhast thread for instillation of uel headers that would be the best place im looking at doing this for my car its a 07 but i still need money so not right now

Same deal as the 06. If you want to do the headers, you need to do a full header-back, so you would need a pre-06 cat section and catback.

First, periods are your friend. Second, look a few threads down for the UEL v. EL debate. They aren't much different as far as gains go. And the cat will fit (and is needed), but an extension will be needed as well.

Since I'm STILL feeling nice, they are UEL. That's what you asked for, that's what I found you. Not to mention, for future reference, have a look at the picture. Notice that one side is much longer (2x maybe? I can't remember) than the other, making them un-equal length. EL headers look much different (TWE, OBX Cobb, etc.) and you should be able to see that each side looks very similar in length. Hopefully this can clear up the majority of your uncertainty.

I dont know why it bothers me, but when people say things like you did about the gains being similar between UEL and EL headers its just plain ignorant. I mean you aren't going to get some huge gain from EL headers, but if you pair some high end EL headers and some high end UEL headers with a HF cat and nice catback the EL's could get as much as 5 times the hp/tq gains as the UEL's (16hp/tq - EL's, 2-4hp/tq UEL's) The very thread you said to reference has dyno charts to prove this and yous till ignore it. Just something that really bothers me. ignorance and laziness.

You really should try to read some threads and think a little bit instead of just asking for others to figure everything out for you. It's for your own good and gain of knowledge. Sure there will always be people who will do everything for you but dont you want to know what/why/etc?

Thanks, but apparently I'm ignorant and lazy as well. Somebody asks for help, I'd rather do what I can then just take the generic approach of telling them to search because I know if I ask a question, I like answers. Clearly though, the non-ignorant way to answer things around here is this:

double check for your year with header. if it does work, try performancecenter.com or borla.com. stromung is at boxer4racing.com. random tech has good cats, but for 2005 and up i hear that there are 3 cats for some reason. i could be wrong, but it is just what i have heard. otherwise everything should fit. good luck.

Or xcelleration.com!?!?!?

Why would he need to check for the year? There is one dual port style header, and will fit 98+.

A) While I'm not 100% certain, I don't think any of the NA's have three cats, so no issue there.
B) Unless you were including JDM, why would you be talking about turbo headers since 2000? On top of that, they aren't the same for "2000+."
C) I did read your post, you must have missed the sarcasm.

We already know the headers will fit, there's no need to continue debating it.

FYI: I found a 2005 Legacy 2.5i upgrade in the xcceleration gallery. It looks like there are three cats; one at the end of each runner of the header and a main cat before the intermediate pipe. So, it looks like there are 3 cats. Have a look. Thanks.
