Talking 20mm FHI Sway Bar

I installed my 20mm FHI sway bar today and what a difference! My "02 RS carves corners, I love it. The only hard part of the install was getting the new bushings to bolt on, its very tight and hard to start the threads on the bolts.

I'm not sure if this is what you mean, but a trick people do is use a jack to push up on the bar while your installing it.

I used a pair of needle nosed vise grips and a few 4 letter words and the bolts threaded on. Its the clamps that go over the bar not the end links.

Hmm, ViceGrips... Damn, I shoulda used those! Just finished installing my 20mm FHI rear sway bar on my MY02 WRX wagon. Installation was a breeze except for the bushing clamps. The other slightly difficult part was threading it up, over, and through the exhaust tubing. There is definately less body roll than before. Its not a huge difference, but it is noticable. It doesn't seem to have induced any additional oversteer, but I just took it out for a medium-hard test ride. I will dig into it a little deeper this weekend. All in all, it has provided a slight reduction in body roll over the stock 17mm bar. Not bad for $40...

This is a very good mod for cheap money, especially for those of us who don't have WRXs.. Big jump from 13mm to 20mm for my TS.. I noticed the difference immediately, and in roughly six months haven't regretted it change for a second.

Just installed this today, and I know why everyone recommends it for a first mod for the RS now. It definitely takes a lot of slop out of the car's handling, and it makes it seem like the car is easier to steer now. Sweet!
