Default Lemon Law help what to do

Ok guys here it goes
I purchased a 2004 sti with 34000 miles on it in august on the 28th
3 days later i had to take the car back in for new brakes( i payed 400 cash of the 800 it cost).
Then 3 weeks from that point i had to replace the clutch that cost me $1400 and i was without the car for 3 weeks during repair with no rental.
So i got the car back in october sometime i beleive and drove it till january 3
or so . The the car starting missing all the sudden and dying out at idle . So i took it in to mcree subaru where i bought the car in dickinson texas and dropped it off. They replaced number 4 coil and still couldnt get it to run right.
They come to find out number 4 piston had a hole in it. So they pulled the motor and replaced that. Come to find out somehow the clutch was already worn out again 2000 miles 2 months later(bull****) so i had to pay for a new clutch to $900 there. I got the car back in february drove it to weeks up until this past friday when it just dyed out going 65 mph a huge cloud of white smoke came out the back and the car lost all power brakes steering everything. They had supposedly checked the heads and the rest of the motor while it was out the previous time.

So what i want them to to is just take the car back for what i owe and call it even.

I have owned the car 6 months and driven it about 3.
I have spent out of pocket $3000 in 3 months plus those months payments i was without the car 440x3 =1320+300=$4320 out of pocket in 6 months thats bull****.

I have contacted federal arbitration dept and Subaru's main office for customer service.

Any other ideas on what to do??
They say theyll fix it but i think theyv had enough chances to make this right.
I just want them to take the car back and call it even .

34,000 miles and new brakes....assuming pads...is perfectly normal.

Replacing the clutch...a little unusual but still not completely abnormal for this type of automobile...read...probably been beat on.

Another clutch...not possible unless you beat the living crap out of it....or have not idea how to drive a manual. Having a bad piston is probably along with the other engine trouble probably means someone screwed up this car then got rid of it. Sorry about your luck...but you purchased a used performance car without doing your homework. You should have noticed the clutch and brakes immediately for example.

Good luck with the lemon law but I thought it had to be a problem that has not been fixed after 3 attempts.

...first off, you'll need to check the Lemon Law in your area and see how it applies to a used vehicle (if it does at all). Second, the brakes & clutch were wear items that would have been covered under the 3/36k warranty (which had alreay run out in your case). Third, the replacement clutch (that wore out prematurely) was aftermarket (not a warrantable item). It sounds to me that your only valid argument is regarding the possible shoddy engine work the dealer performed.

I would agree. Also and I coudl be wrong but the lemon law is something along the lines where if the same issues has to get fixed 3 times its therefore deemed a lemon.

Again I could be wrong

Lemon law is only for a new car purchase. The car has to be in for service on the same problem three times in the first year. After that you are on your own. The lemon law does not apply to used cars.

There are some states where it does actually apply to used, but the majority it is new only. And as others have mentioned, normal wear and tear stuff doesn't count. You aren't buying new, you expect that.

Also, you drove the car from oct to jan, plus at least 3 weeks before that, and THEN the 4 holes in the pistons show up?

honestly it sounds like you are abusing the car to within inches of its life, and your car is telling you it hates you.

Wow ! That last sentence is harsh ! Probably true, though.

This should have been covered under warranty by whoever installed it -- normally you should get something like 12 months/12k miles on replaced parts.

Don't be harsh on this guy. The dealer probably knew the car was abused...called it safe, and sold it to this guy. Same situ happened to my friend. Bought a used 04 sti.
4th, 5th, & 6th gear were destroyed upon getting it torn apart at andrewtech. 3 suby dealerships refused to rip the tranny apart because they said there was nothing wrong with it. Each of those gears was missing teeth! He came to find out later the car had already been through 2 shortblocks and a turbo...now a tranny. He is a 55 year old man and doesn't abuse his car.

Put it to the dealership who sold it to you. They screwed you and are now laughing at you.
