Default Rear window defroster

Does the rear window defroster operate on a timer?

Mine seems to go off about 10mins after I engage it.

Yes, on my 98 I think it is either 15 or 10 minutes then shuts off. Check the owners manual I think it's in there.

are you asking because you are trying to log and it stops writing data to the file when the defrost goes off?

No, I just want to keep my window defrosted....but that may be an issue if i want to make longer logs in the future.
