In Washington DC if you see a Police Van... with full graphics and lightbar... that's what gives out tint tickets and has all the equipment to do so

Yes, lets waste taxpayer money to give regular citizens tint citations. Sounds productive to me.

The police should change their title to "tax collectors" and replace their pistols with chalk to draw body lines.

Yeah because, you know, not being able to see the driver or what they're doing poses no risk to you, as a police officer, at all. No biggy.

if in VA you see a state cop, beware. it has what's needed to meter your windows.

<--- got the ticket and paid the $85 fine and didn't change a damn thing.

training for officers in brunswick, thurmont, and frederick. hmmm "this will cut down on drive by shootings" BRUNSWICK, THURMONT, and FREDERICK. I know the entire first 25 yrs of my life that i lived in that area I was under the constant stress of a drive-by. Especially brunswick.

All the gang bangers in brunswick knew that if you tinted your windows you could shoot straight through them and know one would see you. perfect crime. Now that the cops are cracking down, I feel alot safer going home to visit the folks.

Glad i moved to PA.

Just in case the sarcasm is lost on those who aren't familiar with brunswick. My graduating class from brunswick high had 115 people. Probably 50 of them were farmers. Its not exactly urban sprawl with a thriving criminal underbelly.

you know it buddy. burning SUVs for the insurance. Thankfully over weight isnt a crime or there would be even more trouble in the BPD ranks.

A few years ago Baltimore County's finest were targeting tint on the road where I work, lots of people got tickets and paid hefty fines. Meanwhile a co-worker's car got stolen out of the back parking lot which was never recovered and some maintenance equipment went missing, never to be seen again. Not important. No revenue to be generated by catching real criminals.

So I'm guessing that all the states that you can have 15% or lower the cops there are bada**es or something. I haven't read anything about those states saying the cops are dropping like flies from all the gunshots they take out the drivers door.

Just another tax on drivers I think, I got pulled over for 35%, which I don't think is bad at all and I can see people in it good enough. Didn't bother taking it off. This is up there with the front plate requirement. I choose not to follow either of them, well one of my cars has a front plate, the other I am not ever going to put one on.

I will say people that put tint on the front windshield or are less then say 20% are just dangerous. Makes seeing out at night very hard. Pull those people over.

does anyone know what the real reason that tint is illegal beyond a certain limit? I mean my parents had a conversion van with freaking blinds over the windows. Does that mean i could blinds on my WRX with no issues?
