How about adding some vital information, such as your location (please complete your profile) and the nature of the emission testing (sniffer, dyno, or OBDII scan)?
This may also be better asked in your regional forum for a more accurate answer.

To pass an OBDII scan you must have-
-properly functioning CEL (goes on with key, off when engine starts)
-no stored codes
-all readiness monitors in "complete" or "ready" status

If you reset the ECU, either with a scanner or by disconnecting the battery, just before going for the test the readiness monitors will all be reset to "not ready" and must run their cycles from the beginning. This can take several days of driving or more, depending on the length and type of trips. So, if you go for inspection immediately after a reset you will fail.
There may also be a visual inspection for any removed or tampered-with emissions components, which you will of course fail with a catless exhaust.

Whenever I read about all the modifications done on this board, I always wonder about passing state inspection.

If you have engine management which takes care of the codes (or things like the resistor fix for a catless up-pipe) it's not a problem - particularly if they only do an OBD2 scan - if you have sufficient driving cycles on the car, you are good to go (any decent obd2 scanner will tell you if your car is ready to pass emissions or not) - if they do a sniffer, as long as you aren't catless, you are still fine - if you are catless, though, you will likely fail a sniffer (and will almost certainly fail a visual inspection unless the tech looks the other way or is an idiot)

If you've been driving a while and have no check engine light, you'll probably pass. They never do visual inspection here in IL.
