Hot water and down the sink.

Nah, don't want to spool up all you environmentalists. I gots a friend that works at the Texaco on Boniface. He usually changes my oil. I use that opportunity to look around under the car when its on the lift.

How much can you save over taking the car back to the dealership to get the oil changed? I took my car the Quick Lube once to get a oil change, fluid checks, etc. I was NOT happy with teh service, and I will NEVER go back again. It's wasn't any cheaper than the $40 at Continental.

Can anyone recommend a good place to go? I am always wary of new places because I don't know if I can trust them to put in the oil I tell them to, and not to put in some cheap crap. I would do it myself, but........

I go to Boniface Texaco and I get charged $20. I don't know what the regular price is though. I know the person working there and thats where I have been getting my oil changes. Honda civic, Imp RS, WRX....etc.

Question

is the Penkse auto center at Kmart any good? i saw an ad today in the newspaper saying that it costs $19.99 for an oil change and they also check fluids and a lot of other things.

For me the biggest thing with oil changes is the time involved. You can go to Subaru or KMart and get a good oil change or a cheap oil change, but you end up being there for a couple of hours.

Maybe this has changed, but I brought my RS to Continental once for a free change I had, and they told me to come back after lunch (this was at 8am). I do not have that much time to wait for a 15 minute job, but thats just me.

KMart is good too, but they take an hour or two if you are lucky. Not bad if you got some KMart shopping to do, but otherwise it sucks!
