Default Questions about JDM compatibility

Hey guys, I have just a few questions about my application. First, I have a JDM Ver.8 STi motor, and my ECU is marked(hand written on the back) as an '05 8.5 WRX STi. Where can a find the code that would tell me if it is compatible with an opensource program? Second, do any of the opensource programs support a map selector function such as the UTEC map selector switch? I'm having a problem finding a tuning platform that is compatible with my jdm ecu, controls avcs, and has the ability to switch maps on the fly. If I have to switch maps with a laptop that's not a huge deal, it would just be nice to be able to do it without the computer. AP doesn't work on my ecu, UTEC delta doesn't control avcs, and ecutek easyecu doesn't work with the ecu either. I don't want to go to a Hydra, so it's looking as if the opensource is my best option. Any input is appreciated. If it helps, I'll be running a Blouch Dom3 with a GM boost solenoid, modded USDM WRX injectors, and a perrin big maf intake. Thanks,

-Drew

i've been using enginuity on my v7 and utec on top. Utec rev 6b allows for the avcs pass through. i havnt used my utec in a while due to the ecu map being soo close, but i plan to use it again once i can verify speed density can be used with this older revision for the race fuel occaisions.

Thanks for the replies, I have found out from Scott Siegel that the ecutek easyecu does work on the jdm ecu's. So, aside from the price, problem solved.
