Question 07 2.5i drivetrain

im getting grinding going from 1st to second. looking for a better tranny fluid . but does anyone know if the front diff is limited slip or not same with the rear???

front and rear are open diffs, center is a 4kg viscous LSD.

that being said... post in drivetrain next time.

i thought the rear was LSD on the 06/07 2.5i.

nope its not

and if your car is a 07 and getting grinding why would you not bring it to the dealer when that sounds ike it could be a warranty issue

I did too, til I was messing around in the slippy stuff.

whateva I got slidewayzzzzzzzz in the snow thats all I care.......+1 for subaru warranty... def not supposed to grind if u know how to shift.

it only grinds when its cold.and only first to second,allthough all the other gears are slow to line up too but 1st to 2nd accually grinds a little . unless i very deliberatly double clutch. which is why i want to try the redline first .ive heard its good for this issue . ive been driving a stick on and off for like 10 years so i think i have the shifting thing down . i live in maine so that tranny oil is thick when it first starts up even in march its sleeting now.

ooook but again you own a brand new car that seems to have an issue but you dont want the dealer to check it out, why? Because you live in maine... they do design these cars for all areas otherwise id be silly to have a label on it saying "you can only own this car in areas that see above 30degree temps"

yeah the redline or the dealer might have a modifier it can put in for you.
