Yes. I just did the hybrid 2.5 shortblock w/2.0 heads setup at the end of last year:everything works great.

Ive been thinking about it too,
what have you found the biggest differences with? Are you glad you did it?
And what setup are you running?

Performance wise is this really worth the money? or would a bigger turbo be a better/more cost effective route?

you got to look at it in perspective to your power goals... if you have newer motor and just wanna up the power, than the turbo upgrade might be the best route. a turbo upgrade will get you bigger numbers off the bat, but depending on how high you wanna go, you need a block that can handle more abuse... hence the sti shortblock. Probably cheaper and quicker than building your stock 2.0 block. Just what ive been told...

Well, for me I had a spun bearing while on the dyno with the 2.0. At the time a new 2.5 shortblock was about $300 more than the 2.0 so I went that route. First off I could tell the car was more "torquey" than with the 2.0 and idled a little different-but not bad. My current setup is a FP. 20g, fmic,750cc inject.,tbe, cobb intake, etc.and is getting tuned this month from 555 Motorsports.
