OMGHi2U '02 WRX Wagon Tail Light Swap with '05 9-2x Tails

So this is what I did today when I was bored.... lol

Sucks about the gap. I may mold some carbon fiber around the gap (ANY REFERENCE IN SO. CAL WHO CAN HELP?) or something. Rest is nicer than the yucky old tails. I retrofited a 6-led brake light into the bottom clear lense. I'll take a picture tonight to show effect.

You can probably fill it in, but the hatch doesn't line up very well...

I'd say get the Saabaru bumper and hatch and do it right.

Its not a significant difference. I dont think Id spend the time to mold it unless it made me say "WOW" when installed.

That's a good idea.

Just the bumper part.

I wonder how much shorter it is than my stock bumper?
I really, really like the tail lights. They are amazing at night

Remember that the Saabaru bumper does not have a place to mount your license plate. They have the plate in the hatch.

Also, the bumper will line up with the lights, which means it won't line up with the WRX hatch. Having no plate recess might be an interesting look...

I think to really pull off the tails you'll need the bumper and hatch, or the bumper and some really good bodywork to the hatch to get it to line up.

I like the way the Saabs rear bumper looks. I like the black underpiece on it.

I've always thought about this, cause I thought it'd be a direct swap.

Really looks quite bad with the gap

I would LOVE to swap the whole saab rear end (LOVE the rear bumper) if it weren't for the license plate being on the hatch
