Default should you get STi Coilovers if you get an STi Tranny?

it was just a theory i had, but would you adjust to the new weight? and which would be the best, to choose $2000 and under?

depends. are you going to upgrade hubs or stick with the 5x100 hubs? axles? rear diff? if you upgrade to the 5x114.3 hubs, you'll have to switch to 05-07 sti suspension components.

if not, any suspension parts off an 04-07 wrx and 04 sti will work.

The weight difference is not enough to warrant getting new coilovers. It's only like 75# more.
