Fuel injectors leaking down?

I have a '93 L that I've been driving for about a little over a month. I changed the oil when I first got the car. So the other day I checked it and it read like a quart over?! Before you try to flame me... I know how to read the dipstick, I put the correct amount in when I did it the first time, and I was parked on flat ground.

I smelled the oil and it smelled like it had gas in it to me. So the only thing I can think of is the fuel injectors leaking down into the cylinders and past the rings into the crankcase. The car does have 188k.

Has anyone encountered this problem before? I was looking for a place to check fuel pressure on the lines and I didn't see one.

Was the car difficult to start? If so the plugs may have been loaded with fuel.
The only way to check fuel pressure is to put your gauge on the hoses
were they connect to the fuel filter.

gas in the oil could be bad HG, bad rings, cylinder not firing, worn intake valve guides or more. You should do a cylinder compression test so if you have any low cylinders.
