Suspension Forum (From the STICKY) Rule #4 post what you intend to use the car for...Rule #6 Don't ask us to choose between 2 parts...We don't ignore rule #4 but we bend a little on Rule #6 sometimes....

I haven't run AGX's, but I just got my set of Tokico D-Specs. The AGX's are generally regarded as good struts but, they have a very limited adjustment range and get harsh on stiffer settings. The Tokico D-Specs have a lot more adjustment range and can handle much stiffer spring rates. Since you have a bugeye like me, I'll tell you that unless you decide to switch rear strut tops to the 04+ style and run the TiC spacers, the spring choices are rather limited. The GF210's in 02-03 fitment are barely stiffer than stock springs. The one's for the 04-05's are significantly stiffer. Tokico makes a specific set of springs they sell with their struts as a kit PN#DSK-513, that are almost exactly 25% stiffer than stock.

As far as coilovers, I've never run them on a Scoob, but have had several sets on high HP RWD cars. A decent set new is going to run 2-3x as much as struts/springs. The $1k and under coilovers have limited suspension travel and most find them unsuitable for a DD, unless you don't care about the ride and just want to be able to say you have coilovers for the bling factor. There are plenty of threads about the inexpensive coilovers do a search. You might find a deal on a set of used "good" struts, but it will still be a lot pricier than struts/springs.

Aside from the D-Specs, everyone seems to love Koni's, but they are an insert and you have to cut up a set of stock struts to put them in. There are a lot of threads on that option too.
