Yeah, Phil, you should join up. Why should you and I only compete against eachother in auto-x, when we can compete in this too? Who knows, maybe I will beat you this time. /devilface

ok, how does the terrain look??? because I'm still undecided if I want to take the Leggy out for this.... before the massive part out! this weekend will be all cosmetic stuff. No coilovers though, so I'm gonna be running on stock suspension, which is what worries me. I guess I can just go kinda slow???

eh, i'll probably do it, just so i can say i did. i know if i don't i'll probably regret it. :/

well, if it looks like it's too bumpy, i'm going to have to go grandma slow... i don't want to do ANY kind of possible damage to the car. but if it's pretty flat and just some muddy field than ok.

Im so stoked that people are starting to ante up for this race!

To the hold outs:

For those of you with super nice/large wheels, throw your stockers on for the day.
For those of you with drop springs/coil overs, throw your stockers on for the day.

The way I see it, you get the opportunity to tinker on your car, AND race. Super cool!

Also, after a day of driving with your stock goods, you will come to appreciate your upgrades that much more. Now, wont that make you just feel all warm and fuzzy?

ok, I'll stop now.

Rock on, Hope.

I seriously considered going back to stock before this event too, but I wanted to see how it'd handle as is. And, I'm lazy.

As with daily driving, if there'a a bump or pothole, you slow down and/or avoid it to get past it. Same here. Drive your car at the limit you're comfortable with. If there are bumpy sections, everyone's going to have to adjust for it, and the first run will be an eye-opener. I also want to preserve my car because I want to sell it this summer. Doesn't mean it won't be fun out there.

If you can (all of you reading this), Friday afternoon folks are going out to the site to setup and groom the area - join them. The more people out there, the better we can get the site prepared. I believe the plan is to get there at noon, I'll confirm this as we get closer.

I'm not whining. however I am SELLING MY CAR IN 3 MONTHS. I don't want to damage it or pay more money to fix it. If I were that much of a weenie, I wouldn't enter, would I??

Just signed up... I will be sharing my car with someone who will be signing up when they come back from vacation.

To all the people on the fence.... I have coilovers and I am gonna have a blast!

Don't tell me that you don't do this when you have a chance... Doing it at this event is legal!

Also you don't have to come first, its all about beating your time every run!

i don't plan on being First. I just figured it'd be a fun event for the last hoorah in the LGT.

Damion's running his newly-lowered V-Dub. If anything, it probably decreases his chances of rolling over.

Future events are slated for May, as well as during the State Fair (which is going to be awesome).

Good to see people still signing up!

Chris, at this time, the schedule is for May 24th. This is the Saturday of Memorial Day weekend, and the Memorial Day Solo will be a return to the Wasilla Multi-Use Facility on the Memorial Day Monday! Must be fishin' boats don't fish on Memorial Day???

*coughs*

I may or may not need a ride at that point in time.

Oh, and I had my friend Dave out driving my car today to get him used to it. He's fired up.

So, how many photographers can I convince to show up and take pictures of the action? Anyone that could come out for a while to take pictures, it'd be greatly appreciated.
