Can I used a tuned 06 STI map on my 05

like the tittle say's we have the same mods except I have perrin fuel rails. I just need to use int for a month or so until my Hydra get's back from Hydra america it's being updated and getting a new wideband. Thanks guy's. Oh If it's possible I have a Cobb AP V1 tuned map for my set up can I save that to a file on my computer and download it with the open source to my ECU?

No, Cobb uses a proprietary file type.

Yes, it can be done. Cobb even uses an 06 rom on their 05 sti maps.
EDIT:
I misread. You can use a rom that has the map, but the map itself is useless if you don't have an accessport.

If you have an AccessPort. I don't think you can flash a Cobb map with OpenSource progs.

Really? The size doesn't matter, right? Because I noticed the 04's rom size was 512kb and the 05 & 06 were 1mb each.

i don't believe so. tgui's personal map is based on an 06 sti rom. it's what my car was flashed with.

I used an 05 map on an 06. I just manually copied all the values from one map into the other. you cannot flash an 05 ECU identifier ROM to an 06 though. it has to be the same ECU code.

That's what I was thinking.
I know you can copy over values, I just don't know if you can flash another rom from a different year to a different ecu.
