Default OBD II -> Computer?

So, my girlfriend just bought a '96 OBW.....first car we've had with OBD II.....cool!


well, I just bought a scanner on ebay, and the cable it uses has a nice parrellel plug on it that plugs into the scanner, or perfectly into my laptop.



sooooo......anyone know of a program/driver to allow my laptop to talk to the ECU? something like the b10 scanner for OBD I subarus?

I've used Autotap in the past, now I use Autoenginuity. These devices come with software. Did your unit come with software?

came with the manual on .pdf and a crappy little program to look up the meaning of the codes.
