Default The Greatest WRX Gearset ... Now Available???

ATTN: MAIC, NASIOC, and the Subaru Community

We are proud to announce the release of the new Andrewtech Automotive Gearset for the Subaru 5MT !

We have been working with Pfitzner Performance Gearbox in Australia to develop this gearset for us for some time now.
We chose PPG to make this set for us because of their proven reliability, and outstanding service.

This is not a "budget" gearset. It utilizes the same tooth profile and treatment process as the standard PPG gearsets.

This is a semi-close ratio 1-4 helical-cut synchronized gearset, that was intended for those who enjoy a spirited drive, auto-xing, road racing, and even drag racing.

The ratios are as follows: 3.08 / 2.15 / 1.50 / 1.05 / std. 5th

With a 3.90 final drive, first gear will take you over 40 mph at redline, and 4th gear will reach almost 130 mph. The ratios are very evenly spaced; expect about a 2k rpm drop per shift.
The shorter 2nd gear will make autocrossers happy.

I have the first 10 sets on the shelf...ready for installation!

I am offering installation and pricing specials on the initial 10 sets.
Due to the high volume of work that we are experiencing, please do not PM...please call or email us:

Thanks,

So what is the difference between these and the original PPGs? Does it still use the OEM synchros?

This is great news for the Subaru community!

The ratios are different, but the quality is the same!

These use the same synchros as the standard PPG sets. They don't use the OE dual cone 3rd gear synchro that is prone to failure.

pm me a fully built price with a 06 core trade in.

the only thing i dont like is with a 3.7 and a lower redline, i wont be hitting 60 untill 3rd and only be hitting 118 in 4th. this is with a td04 shifting at 6250, but if i got something like a vf39 or a 20g would i be shifting higher?

Do these work with any 5mt? Just wondering if it would work for a GC6/8.

can we install 1-2-5 oem and 3-4 of this new gears? Or 1-2 of this new gears and one and 3-4-5 oem? If not, this is not the Greatest WRX Gear Set .
