Default awd towing damage?

So last night I went to visit a friend in westbum**** vermont and the idiot told me to park on the street outside his house. Apparently in Johnson Vermont you can't park on the street during the winter, something he haphazardly forgot. I wake up in a drunken stupor after a nice night of visiting high school buddies to find out my car was missing. I go to pickup my car at the "impound lot" there is no office in sight, nor a tow truck. I have my car and have driven about 40 miles after the car was towed. Nothing seems out of place or damaged however I have no clue whether or not it was put on a flatbed or pulled by a wrecker. Ultimately, how do I know if my car is suffering from AWD towing abuse?

You gotta find out which truck brought your car in, tho that's basically impossible .... Flatbed, hopefully

My car has also been towed twice and not on a flat bed, I was also concerned about damage but I dont see or feel anything wrong with the car. Does it actually do damage if an awd car gets towed by a wrecker? I heard it does. I've been meaning to ask this question too.

Have someone inspect your center differential

Yea, if the the tow goes beyond 40mph ( they usually do) It could cause damage to your differentials The amount of damage depends on, the age of the car and its current mechanical condition at the time. Also the distance of the tow, a few miles wouldn't be as bad as say a 50 mile trip or something.

file a complaint with the tow company

but you'd think with your car being manual you'd have the e-brake on so both ways they'd think

"Well, hes rear tires wont move, and his front wont cause its in park (i dunno if people are that smart, lol or it is left in gear)

they'd opt for a flatbed...

you understand what im trying to get at?

That's uhhh not good. But you know I think they probably have some kind of policy saying they are not responsible for anything damage.

keep in mind finding out what truck did it isn't going to help much. if they used a regular tow truck, not a flat bed, it still is possible they used wheel dollies. (end result is all 4 wheels off the ground and not turning)
