holy ****ing **** frayz you are a complete inspiration. the ideas you have are just making me crazy wanting to tear into my own car ,but i am flat broke which i think is the most frustrating thing ever. but one day i hope to also build a dependable street legal track car.

for the past week before reading this wole build i was thinking of deleting the rear seat and making a place for tools helmet fire extinguisher ect.

Nah man, i asked for a bunch of other stuff of which they warned me would take time. So i said im cool with that and that they should wait till they have it all, and send it all in one box.

I got a hell of a lot of fabrication work to do my end so no point having just some of the stuff. I need it all together ya know.

I must admit though, i really wanna get working on it again as i want the car back running again

Well consignment one is here, another should be here tomorrow.

Pleased with this and am now aware of the huge job in hand in order to make it fit and fit properly. The carbon cone fits beautifully, couldnt help but rest it in place

I have a dummy uppipe fitted and a dummy downpipe coming that will need to be modifed to fit the RHD setup. Its gonna be a pain but worth it in the end i hope.

One all the bits are here i can make a start at getting it bolted up to teh existing 2ltr, where i can check, check and check again that everything fits properly. This assembly will then be dropped back into the car so i can again check that it all fits as perfectly as possible, along with the external wastegate setup.

Once im happy, and only then will it all be taken off and sent for making properly and ceramic coating. Then the 2.5 will be put together.

But heres some long overdue pics guys, i know ive deprived you all recently.

It will be joined with a black silicone coupler dude.

The Filter has a 160mm mounting flange, approx 6". The carbon cone then tapers to the 102mm/4" inlet.

The carbon cone is approx $200USD and the filter is about $130

how the hell is the cone going to attach to the carbon thing?

I see the other part, it does look sweet. I gotta see how much room is in my engine bay before i order one. haha
