Little update of the vent pod.

First design had the meters sunk in and all ran at a gradual slope bias the driver.
This looked okay but wasn't that great to look at from the drivers seat.

It looked like this.

So then I had the idea of pulling them further out and now individually bias to the driver.

So now we have prototype #2 and with indevidual hoods is shaping up like this.

I'll try this in the car before going any further but it should be much better to view.
If its going to be made bespoke, might as well get it right.

These are one offs mate.

Depended how many people wanted them. They're hand made from oem parts and subsequently fit like oem so wouldn't be cheap.

Vent pod proto #3

Deeper hoods and built to replicate the dash top one exactly.

Dropped the front end underpinnings off for a jolly up last night.
Some parts have gone for powdercoat others I've freshened up with paint.

Lower arms off

Lower arms cleaned and rebuilt with new poly bushes.

Crash brace got a coat of satin black before it goes back on.

Also my vent pod I taking shape and more resembles the dash pod so they match

I agree Russ, to be honest I don't like that many meters. But I guess I'm just trying to make it look as neat as can be.
I think it will look okay when finished. Much nicer now theyre not obstructing my view in the a pillar.
If I had the money I would go digital dash but can't afford it right now

Droplinks now on with sleeker hardware to give clearance under droop.
It's all looking rather "Purpellow" under here. Lol.

Haha, I'm gonna trial fit again in the morning and see how it's looking. Then decide if I'm going to paint the same as the stereo surround or get it flocked like the dash.

frayz, noticed you have Noltec rear endlinks on your car. Have you ever had to replace the bushings? Car looks great by the way!

Hi mate. I used to run Noltecs and have since swapped to CDF items. No other reason than a colour change under the car so that they match the fronts.
The Noltecs never gave me an issue and no I never replaced the bushings. Just kept them well greased.
