Tempted to keep her Wayne, but see what offers I get.

I'd PX for a good MK1-2 Escort or another Cossie

Whatever you decide, frayz, I wish you luck. If you do end up selling her, I am going to miss her. You and your Subie have been an inspiration to me to keep building mine.

Yeah Wayne.

Subarus here in the UK were loved and followed primarily due to their rally heritage. Subarus popularity, especially the Impreza took a massive dive when the 08 hatch was launched. It's not a desired car over here. It took a further dive when Subaru pulled out of WRC in 09.
Couple that with rapidly rising fuel costs. Now at £1.50 per litre and its easy to see why it's gone this way.
Nobody here wants the 08 onwards cars, personally I can't blame them either. I'm not a fan either.

So running a near 600bhp Impreza that does 2mpg at full tilt is an expensive hobby. Especially, when the roads are too small to deploy that kind of Go Go

I literally never come to NASIOC anymore, and the moment I do, I see my good friend Frayz thread, still going, and right at the top. Wow.

Cheers mate!

Hey Andrew.

Great to hear from you mate. Hope you're well.
Yeah she's still here although I have put her up for sale and see what comes along.
Unsure if I actually want to sell yet so in no rush, we'll see.

What you driving these days?

Have a good Christmas mate.

Any more details on the rails you used for those seats? I have a pair of carbon ones I'm about to put in an 06 and need to sort the rails out. Thanks mate.

Chris.

No rails in mine Chris. They're Sparco side mounts bolted directly to OMP base plates. The base plates are available from Demon Tweeks here in the UK.

Bomber got a new setup today.
Finally starting to find a setup I like. Ill drive her for a bit and make some tweeks to the dampers, possibly raise the rear ride height slightly. Then maybe a few slight alterations on the day.
Should be fun

I'm no racer so don't care about posting my setup:

KW Variant 3 dampers
Ride height front 350mm
Ride heigh rear 335mm
Bump front 7
Rebound front 7
Bump rear 7
Rebound rear 8

Front 22mm ARB soft
Rear 22mm ARB hard

Caster 6.1 degrees
Toe front -0.10min
Camber front 2.3 degrees
Toe rear -0.20min
Camber rear 2.3degrees

On the way, 4th gear roll on at approx 50mph. (Vpower only 525bhp)

Well it's for sale, but as said before I'm not pushing a sale. Basically only advertised n a couple of forums and via word of mouth.
If it sells, it sells, if not then I don't care.

In the meantime, ill enjoy the car I built

Yes, definitely enjoy it. But believe me, if I had an extra $40K or so US, I'd gladly take it off your hands and enjoy it myself.

Frayz,

Heard you put the car up for sale, and I'm sure you have your reasons...

It would be said to see it go.

Just wanted to say best of luck mate, and don't be a stranger if you do dcide to sell it

I have a way for you to keep the Bugeye love alive though...vicariously through mine - please check your PM's for details

I am still relatively new to NASIOC in that I have only been trolling build threads for my gen, but this is an absolute masterpiece of a bugeye! The level of detail and engineering applied is overwhelming, certainly a new benchmark from what I have seen!

Took me 2 nights to work through the whole thing, but some good inspiration for some work to the front bumper/radiator/+oil cooler I plan on doing. Thanks Frayz!!!

Good luck with whatever you decide to do with your car, its truely a masterpiece!!

My custom Essex Subaru Owners Club shirt arrived today.

I've been following this thread since post #1, and your car is an inspiration for me. I have kept my black bugeye all these years because I like the looks and it's fun to drive. I know I'll never attain the level of your masterpiece Prodrive edition build with my own car, but it's what keeps me going and what keeps me hanging on. Glad you still have your V7 Impreza, it's a classic work of art!
