Indeed Paulie, its gotta be a big wide useable powerband of big torque. Im hoping to run approx 2 bar of boost through an 3"/8cm FP green.
Sweet!

Gonna do it at some point this week mate. Im in not real rush as i cant fit it up properly until i have the new front towing strap bolted up.

Because of it not getting done i doubt i'll take it to Silverstone Chris, so im guessing we will go in the girlfriends Ka. lol.

Really looking forward to getting the engine in it now, its all looming so close im getting excited.

Ha ha, I know right! I'd love to see it in person. If for some reason I decide to stay in the service, I'd try to get stationed in the UK - that way, I can at least bring my EVO over and mix up a bit with you guys!

Well not much of an update,

Remember the bespoke hose i wanted made? Well a superfast turn around from my buddy ensured it turned up today. So i set about fitting my intake filter.I had it made in 4 ply so is very rigid and has no chance of collapsing under boost.

Here you can see the 2 filters together the APS (left) and the AEM dryflow (right)

Now you can see how limited you are for space trying to get the APS to fit alongside the FMIC charge pipe.

And the reasons i didnt like the APS, internally it has no strengthening cage, where as the AEM does and it also has a bellmouth to aid flow (You cant see this bit im afraid)

I cut a small piece of 3.5" ally tube to couple the filter to the hose.

Here you can see the new filter tucked out of the way in the big cavity behind the foglight port.

Much better i think you will agree

Now cant wait to get my bumper bolted up

Im really pleased with the finished article, also the eagle eyed amongst you will notice some new graphics not previously fitted.

Hope you like it

Correct me if I'm wrong but isn't water bad for HID ballasts? And it sits right behind the foglight opening.

The opening has a hose duct that feeds the air filter. Its away from the ballasts buddy.

nice work, mate! Paulie's one of my best friends and I know his car very well. I think you are definitely on the same road. In time I think your car will be very close to his level of ultimate completion and balance!
