Default Having some Electrical Problems and im clueless.

Alright, im having some problems with my car nothing Major but i am pretty clueless right now.

Problem 1. When im driving and i step on the brakes my stereo turns off and on and my lights flicker, this also happens when i use the turn signals. This doesn't happen all the time, about 2 times a day.

Anyone know what this could be or how to fix it?

Problem 2. I have a CEL light (P0128 - Coolant Thermostat)
I tried searching but didn't find a step by step on how to fix this. I have a feeling that this has something to do with my electrical problem because i think that my fans are turning on more than usual.... yeah i don't know where im going with this.... can anyone help?

Problem 3. This is not in my car but my moms 01 ZX2. The water that that goes to the radiator seams to have turned a reddish pinkish color. I know that its bad for the car but i drained the tank and filled it up and and when i checked it still reddish pinkish.

Anyone know whats going on here?

Thank YOU!!!

Hey, you do know some coolants are redish in color, are you sure thats not the original color?

Sounds like you are running out of electricity as the brakes place a drain on the system (but if it was a short, it would have blown a fuse). Does problem 1 occur when driving or when the engine is off but ignition is on?

When Driving.

Yeah but what ever is in there is not a coolant. When i was draining it i dropped some on the ground and it left a stain that looks like red dirt now after it dried.

you said this doesn't happen all the time. does it happen only under hard braking, or can it happen while you are already stopped or under light braking? the reason i ask is because if it only happens under hard braking, you may have an intermittent connection that is moving open under braking forces. if it is really related to the brakes' electrical system, i have no clue how to help you...sorry.

Only other fluid I can think of is ATF? Some Radiators have the transmission cooler intergrated into the radiator. Check and clean off your battery terminal connections.
