I own a 2002 wrx with 150,000 k's. I have owned the car since 100,000k's.
What maintenance is due at this time?

I hope the timing belt has been changed sometime in the past. If not, that car is a ticking time bomb.

if it hasn't been done, as said above, definitely do the timing belt (and tensioner, and the water pump) - since you have to remove them anyway, might as well replace all the other belts, too. Other than that, give the car a good look over - check CV joint boots, ball joint boots, brake lines, any rubber lines under the hood which might have hardened up (esp. around the turbo), maybe replace the pcv valve, clean the throttle body, etc.

Look in your manual. There is a bunch of stuff that should be done every 50,000 km (30,000 miles). It sounds like a lot of it has been done recently though. I would do the air filter and maybe the coolant.

Maybe not, but thats what I'm going through right now with my 113k mile WRX. That little TD04 has treated me well. ![]() |

Is there any lifter servicing? I seem to have some chatter on morning starts.

Yes most of the time, the timing belt is the most important to change.
