Default I want more HP...

As the thread obviously states, I want more HP and I would like to do it as safe as possible, so low boost and no Nitrous. Any suggestions? Thinking maybe TurboXS stage 3, when it's ready, or should I wait for Shiv's stage 1 to come out? I am aiming for 250whp, what is the best way that I can do this without blowing my engine, tranny, or clutch? Suggestions from the gallery? Anything is welcome....Thanks in advance.... Ski

Shiv's stage1 or Stage0 will be your best bet for running a low-boost setup.

do you want it as safe as possible?
or do you want 250whp?

pick one

Id guess that currently the APS stage2 is the 'safest' way to get about that much power, with its huge front mount intercooler. Though some would suggest bigger injectors along with that setup.

but thats still gonna put a bit of a strain on your tranny/clutch

Nothing is free, every mod has some potential tradeoff. Here are the mods I'v done so far.

New up-pipe, cost about $300. Drops engine EGTs, adds 8-10 horses, and allows the turbo to spool up slightly sooner.

Lightweight pulleys, costs about $170. Add 5-8 HP, considered relatively safe by almost everyone.

Port the throttle body. This is free if you have a Dremel and an oxide grinding stone. Gives about 5-10 HP from my experience. Most of the power is in the upper RPM range though.

Let's see, that got you from ~180 WHP to ~205 WHP... Those are the mods I've done. If I were to suggest anything past this point it would just be speculation and internet tuning
