I wouldn't classify a Grand Nashy as a sleeper.

And why do you laugh at the SRT4?

Taurus SHO? Impala SS? Those cars aren't even fast.

And how is an SRT-4 a sleeper with that big basket handle wing on the back and the loud rumbling exhaust?

LOL.

<- has taunted an SRT-4 before by rolling his rear windows down from the driver's seat - caused the SRT-4 to suddenly accelerate hard (didn't follow)

The SHO wasn't too slow when it first came out. It's the first family sedan that could run low 15's that I know of.

1989 Ford Taurus SHO
0-60: 6.6 Seconds
1/4 Mile: 15.2

2008 Impala SS
0-60: 5.6 Seconds
1/4 Mile: 14.2

Not bad for cheap four door Sedans.

Tangent: No kids here yet, but my older brother has 2 little daughters. Anyway, they never say "put them to bed", rather "put them to sleep". It makes me do a double take every time.

I went back and replaced sleep with bed as I wrote that. I was creeping me out.

E39 540 is a serious sleeper. that car will murder 95% of cars on the highway.

In 1989 when the SHO first came out it was out running the Mustang and FORCED Ford to update the Mustang's power production for the next year. That Yamaha motor is definatly something. I built 500+ wheel hp versions 10 years ago.

None of the american cars I'd ever *want* to own. 7 I'd rock from the euro list.
