I wanted to know some of the exhaust available for the 2008 STi other than what I found
![]() This is the Blitz Exhaust... Here is the Harman Motive ![]() Here is the prototype from Magnaflow... ![]() ![]() Singles from Perrin... ![]() ![]() Doubles from Perrin Performance... I'm still wondering if there are any choices out there... I know the JDM should be coming over soon... what would be the best choice for now? I would consider a full titanium exhaust from Fujitsubo, but I have a feeling they are going to cost an arm and a leg.... ![]()

Magnaflow FTW... just finished building that exhaust yesterday. turned out awesome. You can feel good bottom end torque pickup, idle has a real nice deep berbal to it and when opened up got that great apposing cylinder sound that we all love with addition of with the exhaust you can really hear the waste gate actuating and who doesnt like that?????

The Magnaflow Cat-back should be available in about two months.
As of right now Tazma16 is the only person with an official Magnaflow Performance Cat-back. but they will be available and Trust Tazma16 and i, this exhaust is just Bitchen! but hey if you dont want to wait for the kit then by all means go out there and be creative with Magnaflow... I like the single tip posted earlier, different. Corey |

I have to tell you guys... this exhaust is very nice... got a very deep burble not the high pitch whining... gives the car a very menacing tone... goes well with the menacing look of the car... the exhaust is not too loud either so I think it's safe with the cops...

2008 Subaru Impreza WRX STI with Magnaflow system
Took a few liberties in photoshop but this is mostly your car with the exhaust on it. ![]() Here is the Underbody shot to show pathways and the single muffler. Enjoy Last edited by oxidizr; 03-28-2008 at 12:25 PM. |

Is it too much to ask for ppl to put their old vs new 08 exhausts on the scale?
B/c I'm seeing a whole lot of metal without a purpose that needs removing from the OEM 08. |

funny that perrins looks the worst, and the twin tip from them looks cheaper than the single. The blitz system looks awsome, and they have coilovers already.

Why are we not seeing more Y shaped configurations?
Something like this would be good. Thanks to Hymee, a Mazda RX8 tuner from Aussie land for the pic. ![]() |

I think Perrin and Harman Motive looks the best. Just like stock. The shiny tips on the others look funny.

I have a question... if you get a downpipe, is it true that the exhaust will be much louder?

Greetings,
Just a couple of things i will try and throw our prototype of on a scale for you, but do not have access to a stock system. Well how does the saying go... Better then a stick in the eye. right? Longfury.... to answer your question about the "Y" usage and dual mufflers. Well are not talking about the RX-8 you are comparing apples and oranges the rx-8 needs those two mufflers for sound reasonings and works in the space and arrangement of the underbody of the car. the STi neither needs all that muffler nor does it that work under this specific application. Harman exahust is looking pretty nice... that muffler sure looks familiar tho.......... ![]() Corey |

Sorry Tazma forgot to answer your question.
YES. with the addition of a downpipe or any additions or performance modified pipes will increase the sound. With the dp you will also get a much more prominent waste gate/blowoff (that Pshht) sound you asked me about. |

The stock RX-8 system comes straight back and goes into a single muffler that has 2 tips. Why does Subaru put a 90 degree bend then a 180 into the muffler? It just seems crazy to me. There is no need for those bends. This one makes the most sense to me. ![]() I used the RX8 because I own one and it has a really short rear end past the rear tires. This is why a Y config is used. Just no room to do it any other way. It would make for a really quiet high flow system on the STI/WRX for that want it. |
